Your horse's “bad behavior” is not the problem.
It is communication.
Horses express unmet physical and emotional needs through body language because that is the only way they know how to speak.
When we slow down and learn to understand the horse in front of us, those behaviors begin to make sense. And when they make sense, everything changes.
Real change doesn’t come from suppressing symptoms. It comes from connection focused interactions that meet the horse’s needs instead of fighting them.
This program teaches relationship based horsemanship, where understanding comes before correction and connection comes before skill.
Group Sessions: Tuesdays, 10:30am - 12:30pm Central Time.
Format: Live group sessions with full replays available for participants + individual support as needed.
The program is intentionally broken into three parts to create real change without pressure or overwhelm. You can complete just one, two, or all three, with space in between to practice and strengthen what you have learned.
Each part runs for six weeks and follows a simple, supportive structure designed to help you stay consistent and confident.
This is not a cookie cutter program. Kate walks with you through the entire journey, shaping the work to fit you and your horse as individuals. You receive clear direction, custom feedback, and direct support so you always know what to do next and why it matters.
Each week builds on the last through focused themes, guided exercises, and real time coaching.
All you need to participate is a phone, a tripod or stable surface, and an internet or data connection.
You will be shown exactly how to set up your camera so coaching is clear and effective. This allows you to make real progress from home without the stress of travel, while still receiving personal support.
Part One focuses on understanding relationship based horsemanship and laying a solid foundation. You will learn how to become more present and aware, improve your feel and timing, and begin trusting your intuition with your horse.
Through simple but powerful groundwork exercises, you will start building lasting trust and confidence for both you and your horse. Many people notice their horse becoming more willing, more engaged, and less reactive. Behaviors that once felt frustrating often begin to soften or fade as the relationship strengthens.
Part Two focuses on refining what you have already learned and applying it in new ways. You will gain tools to problem solve with clarity and confidence by learning how to ask better questions and respond in ways that support both you and your horse.
This phase also begins transferring ground skills into ridden skills. As your understanding deepens, time with your horse feels more enjoyable and purposeful. Your horse begins seeking connection with you, and you gain confidence knowing you have the foundation of a lasting partnership.
Part Three is the ridden portion of relationship based horsemanship. You will learn how to carry the same softness, timing, and feel you developed on the ground into the saddle.
Your horse gains confidence knowing he has a voice and that you know how to listen. Together, you will build trust, understanding, and confidence under saddle while learning exercises that continue to deepen the relationship and support you through future challenges.
When you join, you will receive a step by step welcome email that walks you through how to use Zoom and Slack on your phone.
Zoom is used for your one on one live-coaching sessions.
Slack is our shared space for group coaching, videos, documents, and quick message support when you need guidance.
