That deeper focus on the horse human relationship eventually led Owl Canyon Horse Services to become Blazing Hearts Horsemanship, with a greater emphasis on helping people understand their horses and build the kind of relationship that makes everything else possible.
Those years away brought new horses, new people, new challenges, and tremendous growth in both my horsemanship and my coaching. I’m excited to bring that experience back to the community where my business first began, while continuing to work with horse owners virtually across the country.
Today, I offer relationship based horsemanship coaching for people who want more than simply getting their horse to perform a task. My approach is built around understanding why something is happening, improving communication between horse and human, and developing a partnership based on clarity, trust, mutual respect, and calm leadership.
Whether you're working through a challenging behavior, building a stronger foundation, developing groundwork or liberty, gaining confidence on the trail, refining your riding, or simply wanting to understand your horse on a deeper level, the relationship remains at the center of the work.
Rather than simply correcting the behavior in front of us, I coach owners to look deeper. Behavior is communication. When we understand what the horse is communicating and learn how to respond with better timing, clarity, and feel, we can create meaningful and lasting change.
At Blazing Hearts Horsemanship, I believe in understanding before correction and connection before skill. The goal isn't just a horse who does what you ask. It's a horse and human who can communicate clearly, confidently, and with mutual trust and respect.
One horse human relationship at a time.
